Key Features

Built for efficiency, designed for reliability

Desktop Semi-Automatic Pouch Opener

The QuickPouch Micro is a compact desktop pouch opener for pre-made, unsealed pouches. Pouches are loaded into a magazine; when triggered (by a foot pedal), the machine removes one pouch, opens the top, and presents it for loading. This significantly speeds up the overall pouching workflow without requiring a fully automatic system.

Faster, More Consistent Loading

In automatic mode, the Micro can run at a machine pace of 15 pouches per minute. Trained operators can load 3–4 times faster than hand opening and filling. This helps standardize the loading process and boost throughput while keeping operators in control of the pace.

Automatic & Manual Modes

Automatic mode for production use with a self-timed cycle—the machine presents a new pouch after a set delay. Manual mode for intermittent or slower-pace use. A foot pedal triggers the cycle, and an operator interface panel manages mode selection and timer settings.

Compact, Portable Footprint

The Micro’s small footprint (12″ × 18″) and low weight (under 25 lb) make it easy to move between workstations. You can place it on existing benches, move it between lines, or reconfigure as your layout changes—no permanent installation required.

Pouch Size Range: 2.5"–6" W, 4"–8" L

Standard QuickPouch Micro configuration handles pouches ranging from 2.5″ to 6″ in width and 4″ to 8″ in length. Supported materials include Tyvek®, polyester, foil laminate, and paper laminates. Custom backing plates and vacuum arm configurations allow the Micro to handle a wide variety of pouch styles within that range.

Simple Operator Interface

The operator interface includes mode selection (manual/auto), delay timer settings, and resettable batch and total counters. Controls are implemented via a 24 VDC smart relay, with all interaction through front-panel buttons—no complex programming required.

Built to Work with Your Existing Heat Sealer

The Micro does not include a heat sealer; it is designed to pair with your current, already validated sealer. This means you don’t need to revalidate a new sealing process—you can keep using your established sealing recipes and equipment while improving the opening and loading steps.

Benefits & Applications

Benefits

Increase throughput without adding headcount

Automatic opening at up to 15 pouches per minute, combined with 3–4× faster loading than hand opening, lets you scale output on your existing line.

Improve ergonomics and reduce injury risk

By eliminating most of the repetitive manual opening motion, the Micro reduces RSI and carpal tunnel syndrome risks in high-volume pouching operations.

Protect existing validation work

Because the Micro does not seal the pouch, you can keep using your current validated heat sealer and established sealing recipes, minimizing re-validation effort.

Compact and easy to deploy

With a 12″ × 18″ footprint, 10″ height, and weight under 25 lb, the Micro is easy to place on existing benches, move between lines, or reconfigure as your layout changes.

Simple to train and maintain

The laminated instruction sheet and intuitive controls allow most operators to be trained in just a few hours. Daily maintenance is limited to basic checks such as vacuum cup condition, alignment, and hose integrity.

Typical Applications

Clean packaging

Intended for packaging of clean, non-flammable, non-toxic materials where operators need help opening pre-made unsealed pouches.

Difficult-to-open pouches

Handling pouches with thicker laminates or strong seals that are challenging to open manually.

Filling and kitting operations

Kitting or filling pre-made pouches on existing sealer lines where consistent throughput is important.

Where a "third hand" is needed

Situations where operators need the pouch held open while loading, freeing their hands for the filling operation.

How It Works

Load the magazine

Operator riffles the pouch stack to break them free, then loads the pre-made pouches into the magazine

1
2

Present the pouch

When the foot pedal is pressed, vacuum cups pick a single pouch and pull it to the opening station

Open the pouch

A fixed vacuum arm and pre-opener finger pull the pouch lips apart, creating a consistent opening at the top

3
4

Load the product

The pouch remains open for filling—manually triggered or timer-controlled based on selected mode

Release & repeat

The pouch is released back to the operator or downline, and the next cycle begins automatically or on demand
