Standard Heat Die Set
Standard aluminum die set with semi-permanent silicone rubber coating on one side and bare aluminum on the other.
Additional Pouch Size Configuration
Includes specification, design, testing, and FAT for an additional set of standard heat dies in an additional pouch size or configuration.
Gasket Die Upgrade
Aluminum die set with replaceable silicone rubber gasket on one side and bare aluminum on the other. Gaskets protect the dies from wear and damage, as well as improving pouch seal quality and appearance. Includes 5 gaskets. Visit

Modular Heat Seal Dies
Utilizes a base heater block with removable, interchangeable seal plates. Seal plates available in a variety of styles, shapes, and finishes
Steel Rule Dies
Utilizes a steel rule die and press assembly to produce tear notch and/or radius corners. Includes press frame, replaceable steel rule die, backer plate, backer frame, and integration into the QuickPouch Vertical.
Compression Pads
Uses foam pads mounted within the heat dies to help flatten and remove air from pouches before sealing

Corrosion Resistance
Includes stainless steel, plated, or otherwise corrosion resistant materials. Knife assembly components all rust resistant, die set and connectors liquid tight, bulkhead sealed to front section, sensors moved to internal locations
Basic Validation Package
Includes electronic pressure gauge, seal pressure output port, thermocouple port, and closed loop monitoring of seal plates. Required for validating system/pouch
Cleanroom Ready Package
Includes corrosion resistance package. System specified for class 250K equivalent controlled environments. Other levels available based on customer requirements. Includes stainless guarding covers (top, sides, and bottom - replaces lexan), stainless steel shafts (replaces anodized aluminum), closed control panel, single exhaust output port, and optional leveling feet (replaces casters)
Black / White Eyespot Indexing
Includes photocell to allow indexing to black or white printed eyespot. Required for pre-printed rollstock. Recommended for all liquid fill Applications

Splice Detectors
Detects splices on the pouch material. Can be integrated into the optional counting conveyor and/or reject system. If integrated with automatic loader the spliced pouch will not be loaded. Includes purge/clear out run after splice is detected
Low Webstock Sensors
A sensor and alarm to alert the operator when the webstock is low
Seal Tension Mechanism
PLC controlled system uses grippers to pull on the area of the pouch to be sealed. Adjustable pull force helps maintain consistent tension and improves seal appearance and quality
De-Ionizing / Anti-Static Air Curtain
Internally mounted to guarding and powered by safety circuit. Uses filtered compressed air as a pressure source. Closed loop monitoring of readiness. Includes connection for customer supplied vacuum source

Uses either a split or folded single roll of material to form a pouch with front to back print registration
Peelable Pouch
Includes a contoured die (chevron, corner peel, edge peel, etc) with specially coated conformal surface on one side, plus the necessary setup for consistent seals in coated and uncoated Tyvek® or other material pouches. Includes design, specification, and testing
Perforated Strip
Utilizes a perforation blade to create strips of pouches separated by perforations. Number of pouches per strip can be programmed
Perforated Opening
Utilizes a perforation blade to create a perforated tear strip across the pouch for easy opening
Resealable Pouch - Resealable Table
Allows the QuickPouch Vertical to dispense a strip of resealable tape into the interior of the pouch to allow for multiple open-close cycles. A properly produced pouch will be completely sealed after production prior to opening for the first time. Includes two sided tape application, scrap collector, and brackets
Resealable Pouch - Welded Zipper
Allows the QuickPouch Vertical to dispense a zipper cord into the seal area to create resealable zipper pouches. Includes zipper unwind system, guides, and a specially modified die set
Frangible Seal / Dual Chamber Pouch
Utilizes a center section of frangible material to form a frangible pouch. The frangible barrier material is reel fed into the die area
Hole Punch - "Sombrero Style"
Custom punch to produce "Sombrero Style" hanging hole on pouch. Scrap removed via vacuum system
Hole Punch - Circle
Custom punch to produce circular hanging hole on pouch. Scrap removed via vacuum system
Hole Punch - D / Thumb Notch Style
Custom punch to produce a D shaped hole on the pouch. Scrap removed via vacuum system
Hole Punch - C Style
Custom punch to produce a C shaped hole on the pouch. Eliminates scrap
Gas Flush
Includes snorkel system to introduce gas to pouch, poppet valve, gas connection, pressure monitoring sensor, and programming to control system. Customer supplies 10psi purge gas.
Gas Flush / Vacuum Seal
Gas flush / Vacuum system comprised of pinch bar and combination style snorkel. Pinch bar seals the pouch during the gas flush cycle, moving snorkel supplies gas and vacuum to pouch. Venturi style vacuum system standard (medium speed, high vacuum level). Includes custom “U” die set

Vision System Options
UDI Vision System
A Smart Camera system is used to verify the printed barcode against the human readable text. It includes integration, mounting, programming, and PC laptop for controls. Settings for the camera are controlled through the laptop. Requires separate reject system to automatically remove pouches determined to be defective
Inspection for Text & Barcode Readability
A flexible industrial vision system for optical character recognition, optical character verification, and 1D/2D symbol decoding. Includes software and installation. Includes reject system for defective pouches. System will halt if a pre-set number of failures is reached

Outfeed Options
Standard Outfeed Conveyor
Feeds pouches from the output port to an elevated height, such as a bin. Height adjustable from 8 to 17 inches. 5 foot length, slip top white FDA belt, lightweight aluminum frame, integrated controls. Conveyor stops upon E-Stop of main system
Counting Outfeed Conveyor
Multi stage conveyor system counts the number of pouches and can shingle or group pouches together. The conveyor will speed advance upon reaching set cycle count to separate groups of pouches. Conveyor is integrated into the QuickPouch Vertical PLC and controlled by the HMI. Settings include bypass mode, continuous operation mode, and number of cycles per group
Reject System
Automatically detects faulty or defective pouches caused by printer error, machine error, or loader error. Once detected the pouch is ejected to a separate reject bin. Include end of run clearance of system and will manage startup and shut down of printed materials. Can be integrated with vision system
Loading Options
Piston Pump
Stainless steel piston pump designed for viscous materials. Includes fill nozzle, suction tube, adjustable pump, and 5 gallon funnel style reservoir
Heated Fluid Path
Includes heating element and controls to allow the hopper, hoses, and fill tube to be heated on pump
Peristaltic Pump
Uses a squeezing action on hose to move fluid. Only wetting material is pumping hose. No cleaning required to switch between products
Syringe Pump
Uses a precise syringe to index a single shot of liquid into the pouch. System utilizes a diving needle designed to prevent air bubbles. Includes bubble/flow detector. Sensors provide feedback to ensure the pump has cycled. Photocell at dispenser needle confirms liquid has been dispensed
Auger Powder Filler
Stainless steel auger filler with accuracy within +/-5% (subject to product evaluation). Includes base, integration, fill funnel, and vacuum system. Does not include level sensor
High Precision Auger Powder Filler
Stainless steel auger filler with accuracy within +/-2% (subject to product evaluation). Includes base, integration, fill funnel, and vacuum system. Does not include level sensor
Funnel for Manual Powder Fill
Funnel to allow operator to fill pouches with powder using a pre-measured scoop. Stainless steel funnel with quick disconnect for east removal and cleaning
Volumetric Powder Filler
Low precision powder filling option suitable for free flowing material not easily damaged by shearing. Vacuum draws product into an adjustable volume well, powder is then blown into chute leading to pouch. Accuracy depends on material. Efficiency of this system depends on properties of the product being loaded. Very loose or difficult to vacuum material may not feed accurately and will require evaluation. +/-5% accuracy for most products. 306 SS or other inert material for construction. May be disassembled for cleaning. Includes dust collector ports
Tablet Counter & Feeder
Adjustable for different configuration feed discs. Includes additional interchangeable feed discs for up to 5 configurations. Includes setup, testing, integration, and programming of the feeder as well as drive mechanism to load tablets into pouches
Manually Loaded Tablet Magazine
Operator drops tablets into a chute. A photocell triggers the system and an automatic escapement drops the tablet into the pouch
Magazine Loader
Feeds flat products from a stack in a vertical magazine and places into a loading tray, which then feeds components into the pouch. After filling the loading tray retracts leaving only the product in the pouch. Integrated into the QuickPouch Vertical controls and controlled via the main system HMI
Semi-Automatic Conveyor Style Loader
Loader consists of a conveyor infeed system that will load a single product into the pouch. The operator places products onto the single lane infeed conveyor which are transported to the loading station where they are reoriented via vacuum pick and place and loaded into the pouch as it is formed. Sensors monitor the placement of all components. Includes design, installation, and testing. Approximate cycle rate to be determined after product evaluation. Can be integrated with upstream automation or equipment
Automatic Vibratory Bowl Feeder
Utilizes a vibratory bowl to feed parts into the pouch. Hopper helps maintain operation with less monitoring of the fill state of the machine. Mechanism checks for presence of the part in the loading zone and then loads product automatically into the formed pouch. Vibratory bowl system is mounted to an independent frame with docking mounts for QuickPouch Vertical. Includes sensors to monitor product feed status and confirm load
Vibratory Rail Feeder
Pair of stainless steel rails that vibrate to feed parts to the loading station. The operator drops the product onto the rail, which hangs the product in the correct loading position. Parts are then collected in a ‘dead nest’ where a photocell detects the part and triggers a pick and place mechanism to load the product into the pouch. All moving parts protected by interlocked safety guarding. Can be integrated with vibratory bowl
Automatic Strip Loader
Uses a reel of strips. Strips can be pinched and separated at a perforation or automatically cut to length and then loaded into the pouch. Loading module is integrated into the controls of the QuickPouch Vertical and is controlled via the main system HMI
Automatic Desiccant Dispenser
Desiccant pouches are cut from a roll and automatically inserted into the pouch. Pouches are pulled from an unwind stand using a closed loop servo drive. A photocell is utilized to determine the gap between pouches and precisely cuts each desiccant pouch. Includes integration of controls into the QuickPouch Vertical and is controlled by the main system HMI
Environmentally Controlled Desiccant Enclosure
Helps control humidity, dust, and general air movement over desiccant roll.
