Make QuickPouch Your Partner in UDI

The UDI (Unique Device Identification) program requires all medical devices and their packaging be marked with a unique barcode, identifier number, and other important information that is then published to the GUDID (Global Unique Device Identification Database). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has implemented these regulations to aid in anti-counterfeiting measures, to expedite the process of recalling devices when necessary, and above all to protect the health and safety of patients and users of these medical device products. These regulations were made law in 2013 with a multi-phase implementation schedule depending on the risk factor of the device.

Direct Printing on Pouches
QuickPouch offers an alternative to costly pouch labeling with a series of inline printing options for directly marking pouches during the packaging process. This eliminates the need for time consuming label handling processes, while significantly reducing per pouch costs. For applications requiring the use of labels QuickPouch also offers automated print and apply labeling options.

Additional Security Available
QuickPouch also offers an optional vision system to be integrated into the packaging system which reads each individual print as the pouch moves through the machine. Each print is confirmed, text and barcodes are checked for legibility, and if a failed pouch is discovered the system will automatically pause or send the pouch through the optional reject system. The system is capable of communicating with many software systems including Loftware, LabelWare, and more. Control screens are password protected, and artwork can be transmitted over your existing secure network.
